Occupied Staging
Complete Staging Solutions — Designed for Results

Before

After
Occupied Staging is offered while sellers/occupants are living in the property when it is placed on the market.
Our approach is visual marketing designed to help homes sell faster and stronger.
How does it work?
The goal is to make the property appealing to potential buyers by bringing in select furnishings, accessories, art, and textiles that complement the sellers’ furnishings but also elevate to attract a vast network of potential buyers.
This service requires a walk-through of the property so that Salt + Slate Interiors can prepare an assessment and advise on furnishings to remain in the property and what will be supplemented by Salt + Slate Interiors.
Before scheduling your Occupied Stage, we recommend that you complete the following:
-
Pack all unnecessary items, such as: clothing, dishes, books, games, bills, and personal items.
-
Professionally clean the property, inside and out, including baseboards and doors.
-
Power wash the exterior of the property.
-
Clean all windows and blinds, inside and out.
-
Remove any animal beds and toys.
-
Paint all interior walls a neutral color.
-
Cut, trim and prune the yard. Re-mulch all flower beds.
The Salt +Slate Staging Process
What to expect and understand
Clear, thoughtful steps designed to move your home from listing to sold.
1 - Preview
We begin with an assessment of the home to understand its layout, architecture, price point, and buyer audience. This allows us to determine the staging approach that will best position the property for market success.
2 - Proposal
Within 24 hours, we deliver a customized staging proposal tailored to the home’s specific needs — no preset packages, just a strategic plan designed to maximize appeal and value.
3 - Agreement
Once the agreement is accepted and payment is received, your project is confirmed.
4 - Scheduling
Your installation date is secured, and our team begins curating staging selections for your home.
6 - Destage/Move-out
When the home is under contract, we coordinate furniture removal with a minimum of seven days’ notice. (We strongly recommend keeping the home fully staged until closing documents are signed.)
